Peace,

My name is Imani Byers-Quarterman and I am one of the clinical therapists here at Maternally Mindful Counseling Center in Canton, GA! Even though our home base is in Canton, we serve women all over the state via telehealth counseling! In addition to being a clinical therapist, I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor, a full spectrum doula and peristeam hydrotherapist with a passion for assisting families on their journey to and through parenthood.

Serving women who are on the path to conception, are pregnant, postpartum, have experienced trauma, have had a miscarriage or infant loss is my passion. I am in the process of becoming trained in Brainspotting, which is a vital tool to use in therapy as it incorporates the brain and body connection and how that impacts your mental health.

As a Black woman, I understand the misconceptions surrounding pregnancy and postpartum. The truth is, everyone’s journey is unique and everyone’s individual experiences matter. My dedication to serving families navigating this space stems from my belief that with adequate support, normalcy can be restored and maintained!

While I am passionate about maternal mental health, I also specialize in helping individuals and families navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, grief and loss. I count it as an honor to walk with people on their journey to healing and overall wellness. No one should suffer in silence and I am in awe of you for seeking help during such a vulnerable time.
